MPES STEM Learning (2023/24)

  • Science and Art Night funded through 2027
  • Thousands of dollars in STEM supplies → every classroom has benefited!

MPES P.E. & Recess Enrichment (2022/23)

  • Feelings chart installed on the playground to support Special Education learning & communication  
  • New, safer equipment purchased
  • Educational enrichment activities & games purchased for outdoor/indoor recess! 

MPES Library (2021/22)

  • Replaced hundreds of books lost to COVID shutdown
  • Library collection updated and replenished
  • Backstops to fix deep shelving problems, updated display bins, and reading incentives!

❤️ We All Belong at McPolin 🫎


MPES educators continue to promote "We All Belong at McPolin" at school in many ways; through photos, flyers, conversations, and more.

At the beginning of the school year, I met with each grade level to discuss our many differences - and many similarities, too. We also went over how to ensure everyone can feel they belong at McPolin. 

A feeling of belonging at school can help students: 

  • stay energized & engaged in learning
  • connect school lessons to their lives
  • build strong, healthy relationships with peers & teachers
  • create a sense of community
  • and more!

New "We All Belong" designs are now in our spirit wear shop. If you are interested in buying any of the items, I encourage you to wear them whenever you visit or volunteer at McPolin. This is another way to help amplify the importance of creating a school environment in which we all belong.
